Dark purple. Primary dark berry aromas are complicated by musky earth and dark chocolate. Tarry cherry and cassis flavors are gently tannic and finish sweet. Straightforward, ready to drink and tasty. A great buy, too.

From the D.O. of Ribera del Duero in Spain comes this Tempranillo, dark purple in color with a nose of soft vanilla and earthiness. It is unlike other Tempranillos in that it tends toward seductive smoothness instead of overt spiciness, but spice and dense tannins are present, as well as plummy, jammy fruit and a touch of earth and minerality. The finish is ripe and lasting.
