Full of black cherry and blueberry scents up front, this is full of warm alcohol in the end. There’s a hint of chocolate in the peppery, blunt tannin. Give it a few years in the bottle to soften.

Elegantly styled, with powdered cocoa and deep berry fruits wafting from the glass. The Picampeau reflects the intense concentration and layered complexity that made the 2005 vintage so legendary. Satin mouthfeel, well-integrated oak, and warm, inviting fruit flavors combine to create a world-class dinner red. Perfectly suited to pair with lamb, beef or grilled mushrooms.

Plum, black cherry and cool minty flavors dominate this delicious wine that is very much like the 2000 vintage that many customers still ask for.
