Lush but structured, delivering layers of black currant, tobacco, loam and dark licorice pushed by ripe, solid structure, with a long, dark finish. Always rock-solid. Drink now through 2011.

The initial aromas of this cabernet recall cassis and chocolate, with hints of menthol placing it in Alto Maipo. The tannins are still young, with plenty of juicy, ripe red fruit to balance them. The finish is long and complex. For short term aging.

Inky purple. Extremely fruity nose offers an explosive bouquet of blackberry, plum jam, licorice and mocha. Round, sweet and supple, with deep dark berry liqueur flavors and slow-building tannins. Turns a bit drier on the finish, where the tannins give the wine a slightly clenched impression

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon “Marques de Casa Concha” puts out classic toasty black currant aromas and flavors. This full-bodied wine has plenty of ripe fruit and well-integrated oak, tannin, and acidity. It has 2–3 years of aging potential and should drink well through 2025.

Blackberry, oak and a light dusting of spice all make for a pleasant but common bouquet, while the palate is full of ripe but sterile black fruit, acidity and not a whole lot else. This is rock solid.
