Complex and different. A real white Burgundy here, with some mineral, citrus and earthy character that will hold your attention, from first sniff to last sip. Medium- to full-bodied, there are plenty of spark here. Drink now through 2006.

The mineral, pear, and apple-scented 1999 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers is tightly wound, medium-bodied, and silky-textured. It has excellent depth to its liquid mineral, lemon, earth, and apple-flavored core. This fresh, flavorful wine will be at its best if consumed by 2007.
