80 pts.Whisky Advocate: Summer, 2011
Pale, almost peach color. Light aromas of caramel, sweet citrus. Tastes of sweet caramel, faint bite of oak on the end. Simple, but clean and pleasant. You’d have to be careful mixing this — it would get lost easily — but it should be nice on the rocks or with seltzer.
F. Paul Pacult’s Spirit Journal: December 1, 2005
The pale golden/straw yellow hue is ideally pure. The first whiff of intense grain spirits reminds me amazingly of Eastern European vodka more than what I’ve come to think of Canadian whisky; by the later inhalation, following the seven-minute aeration period, the bouquet offers scents of cream, wild flowers, and honey. the palate entry features the cream, both in the flavor sense and the texture sense; by midpalate, the taste profile expands to include flavors of cocoa, milk chocolate, and buttercream. The aftertaste is sweet, long, and creamy. Neither profound nor distinctive, but displays enough character in its core and obvious potential as a mixing whisky to be recommended specifically for lovers of whisky cocktails.
