The bouquet offers wonderful scents of baked pear pastry, pear peel and bread. Entry is intense pear meat, fresh and authentic; the succulent midpalate introduces a ripe sweetness that’s balanced by a rise in the acidity. finishes ripe yet austere, fruity yet minerally and like liquid silk. Outstanding distilling.

Ideally clear as mineral water; impeccably pure. Opening scent reminds me of baked pastry because of the wonderful fruit and yeast/dough aromas; the pear perfume settles down a bit after further aeration, leaving behind odors of pear peel and bread. Entry is intensely pear meat-like, fresh, and genuine; the midpalate introduces a ripe sweetness that’s countered by a rise in the acidity, making for a succulence that’s keenly attractive, clean, and authentic. Finishes ripe yet austere, fruity yet minerally, and like liquid silk. Outstanding distilling.

Unblemished clarity; silvery transparency. First whiffs detect rich, concentrated aroma of ripe, just-picked pears; further aeration brings out the dry, dusty smell of pear peels; this aroma is so authentic, that it’s some thing of a miracle. Palate entry is dry as desert sand and minerally, yet is juicy and clean; midpalate is lean, austere, bone dry but earthy, fruity, and incredibly fresh pear-like. Finishes astringent and shale-like, even chalky. Unique among domestic poire eaux-de-vie because of the unbridled earthiness Highly recommended.

An excellent expression of bright, ripe Bartlett pear. Full bodied, aromatic, and palate warming with a long, firm finish. Neat.
