Complex aromas of blackberry and mushroom, with hints of grilled meat. Full-bodied, with soft, velvety tannins and juicy, rich fruit. Harmonious and long in the mouth. Delicious already. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Best after 2010.

The 2006 Rosso Villa Antinori is predominantly Sangiovese with a dollop of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Soft and seamless through to the finish, the Rosso delivers plenty of dark red fruit, spices, leather, licorice and herbs in an attractive, mid-weight style. Anticipated maturity: 2010–2013.
