Strangely this one has a nose of Italian bitters, anise and pine. It’s not a warm, ripe wine. What it does give is tight, dry cherry and berry flavors with layers of complexity and intrigue. Not very woody or chewy. More old school and an enigma among so many forward, fruity compatriots.
