88 pts. Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate: May, 2008
The 2006 Primitivo is a beautiful, expansive wine loaded with super-ripe jammy fruit and sweet toasted oak flavors. This generous, racy red offers superb length and is a ridiculous value for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2007–2009.

This is a simple, genuine wine that delivers concentration, power and personality without much effort. Its success is due to the sunny climate conditions of Southern Italy and a healthy selection of fruit. In the mouth, the wine offers both sweetness and crispness.

“A-mano” means hand-made. Entirely hand-crafted from old vines of the indigenous Primitivo variety (Zinfandel’s granddaddy), this fruit-packed, food-friendly red expresses the region’s quality potential.
